AdventHealth in Tavare and surrounding area seeks a patient care technician to join our team. You will perform treatments and provide patient care under RN supervision, ensuring safety and quality. Strong communication with patients and families is essential.

Required High School Grad or Equiv, CPR/BLS, and CNA or similar certification. 1+ year of PCT or bedside care preferred. This on-site role offers day shifts and competitive hourly pay in a faith-based health system.

Formación

• Education: High School Grad or Equiv (Required).
• Work Experience: 1+ applicable PCT experience (Preferred).
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience (Preferred).
• Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required], CNA [Required] OR CPCT/A [Required] OR NCPCT [Required] OR PCT-C [Required] OR EMT Cert [Required].

Responsabilidades

• Performs treatments and provides patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Follows isolation guidelines, uses protective equipment, and upholds safety regulations.
• Documents and reports all procedures per department policy.
• Participates in obtaining nursing history and reports abnormalities to the RN.
• Assists in identifying patient needs and works as part of the care team.

Job Description: Open Shifts Full-Time Part-Time PRN Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture. Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives. Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations. Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse. Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy. Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse. Assists in identifying patient needs Performs other duties as assigned.
