Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Crane Operator in Norco, LA. The role requires NCCER or NCCCO certification, rigging and signaling credentials, and 5+ years of crane operation experience.

The operator will move materials using overhead cranes and work under a Foreman with strict safety protocols. Responsibilities include reading JSA, signaling coworkers, performing crane inspections, and interpreting load charts.

Qualifications

• NCCER or NCCCO certification is required.
• Rigging and signal person certification is required.
• Verifiable industrial experience operating and assembling/disassembling cranes.
• Experience selecting and inspecting rigging hardware (slings, shackles, blocks).
• Knowledge of alternative lifting methods (gantries, jack & sliding, bull rigging).
• Ability to plan/examine lifts and act as Assembly/Disassembly director.

Responsibilities

• Read and sign off on JSA and operate crane from a cab.
• Communicate crane location via signals; follow hand signals in work areas.
• Perform daily crane inspections and report issues to Foreman.
• Interpret load charts and ensure safe load handling.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow PPE rules.
