Lakeview Village, Inc. is a continuing care retirement community seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to work full time.

The COTA assists in treating residents under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to restore, maintain, or prevent decline of function and to participate as a rehabilitation team member. Duties include recording treatments, instructing residents and families, attending care conferences, maintaining competency, ensuring infection control, and upholding

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensed to practice as a COTA in Kansas, and nationally credited.
• Good communication skills in English; experience with the elderly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Records treatments in patients' medical and billing records per procedures.
• Instructs patients, family, and staff in maintenance programs as directed.
• Attends patient care conferences and rehab department meetings.
• Maintains professional competency via in-service trainings and materials.
• Adheres to infection control procedures and facility guidelines.
• Develops good rapport with residents and inter-department staff.
• Respects residents' rights and confidentiality.
