Compensation: Pay Range: $42.00-$44.00 Per HR

Description

• This role involves providing essential orientation and mobility services to students with visual impairments, including those with additional challenges, at an educational institution in Philadelphia, PA.
• The position is contract to perm, requiring onsite presence, and involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to enhance students' independence and confidence in various environments.

Requirements

• Provide orientation and mobility services to students in various educational programs.
• Collaborate with educational teams including teachers, therapists, and parents.
• Complete evaluations focusing on students' long and short-term needs.
• Develop measurable annual goals and short-term objectives for students.
• Instruct students in skills for independent travel in familiar and unfamiliar environments.
• Prepare and use appropriate equipment and materials for instruction.
• Maintain detailed records on evaluations, progress reports, and service notes.

Qualifications

• Certified by ACVREP or NOMC.
• Operational knowledge of accessible mainstream technologies.
• Experience providing instruction to students with multiple disabilities.
• Experience with low vision aids.

• Basic computer skills.
