Job summary

Denver Recovery Group, LLC seeks a Substance Abuse Counselor for its Boulder location at 5330 Manhattan Court. The role delivers therapy to outpatients, coordinates with care providers, and participates in team trainings.

A full-time schedule is Mon–Fri, 6:00 am–2:30 pm, with a bi-weekly pay cycle. Compensation ranges from $24 to $34 per hour, with a $5/hr differential, and benefits include retirement, health/dental/vision, EAP, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or Behavioral Health; equivalent credential considered.
• CAT/CAS; LAC/LCSW/LPC credentials accepted.
• Experience in Addiction counseling: 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct/indirect therapy to outpatients using evidence-based practices.
• Coordinate care with primary care doctors, other prescribing physicians, probation/parole, and related services.
• Attend clinic team meetings and trainings.
• Maintain client records in compliance with regulations.
• Develop and document treatment goals, plans, and discharge criteria.
• Reassess treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain continuity among teams through documentation and communication.
• Occasionally lift/move up to 30 pounds.

Counselor Job Description

Responsibilities include providing direct/indirect therapy services to outpatients who require or will benefit from therapy skills and interventions. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Provides case management services to coordinate care with primary care doctors, other prescribing physicians, probation, parole, child/adult services, and other supporting services
• Attends all clinic team meetings and company training
• Communicates at a level that reflects above-average quality work
• Maintain client records and other data as required by regulatory agencies promptly.
• Treatment Planning: Applies assessment, evaluation, and reassessment data to the formulation of treatment plans.
• Supports recovery principles by incorporating the individual's and their family's (when applicable) strengths, barriers, and needs into the plan components.
• Documents treatment goals/objectives/discharge plans that are written in clear and understandable language and include clients' own words.
• Formulate measurable, achievable goals and objectives within the scope of treatment provided in collaboration with the client.
• Describes clinical modalities/interventions that are responsible and provide according to applicable protocols.
• Reassess treatment effectiveness and adapt treatment plan as needed
• Maintains continuity among clinical teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
