• Performs ophthalmic tests within training, such as autorefraction and tonometry.
• Assists physician during patient exams.
• Schedules surgeries and referrals; obtains pre-certifications.
• Phone/fax prescriptions for medications and glasses.
• Monitors supplies and equipment functionality.
• Provides education to patient and family.
