Job summary

Centre for Neuro Skills in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full‑time role. You will assist with patient evaluations, help implement therapy programs, and apply techniques to deliver competent occupational therapy services.

Qualifications include an OTA Associate Degree, NBCOT certification, and current state licensure. Experience with sensory integration is preferred.

Qualifications

• OTA Associate Degree from an accredited OTA program required.
• Certification as OTA by NBCOT required.
• Current licensure in state employed.
• Knowledge and experience with sensory integration is recommended and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the evaluation process by implementing delegated assessments and by providing verbal and written reports of observations and patient capacities to the OT.
• Performs re-assessment and discharge planning under supervision of an OT and integrates information into decision-making.
• Reports verbally or in writing to inform necessary personnel, insurance carriers, patients’ families, and patients of testing, treatment and progress.
• Under supervision of OT, consults with patients, families, and therapists from various clinic disciplines to instruct, advise or inform them of procedures and tests.
