Job summary

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (PRN) to join our newly opened facility in Tampa, FL. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support adult and geriatric patients in a modern, two-gym rehab setting.

Applicants must hold current state licensure as an OTA and BLS certification. Inpatient rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• BLS certification from AHA/Red Cross required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in achieving maximum functional performance under supervision.

Position Summary:

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa located at Woodstork and Temple Terrace opened since March 2025. Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 60 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Performs component of occupational therapy procedures and related tasks under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and in accordance with practices of occupational therapy. Patient population ranges in age from 18 years to geriatric experiencing rehabilitation diagnosis/conditions and/or conditions requiring rehabilitation. Assist patients in achieving his/her maximum functional performance while learning to live within his/her capabilities. Record patient’s responses to treatment and report treatment outcomes to the Occupational Therapist.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualification:

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience.
