A leading therapy company is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide quality care to the elderly population. In this role, you will work closely with an Occupational Therapist to facilitate independence for residents, ensuring a supportive and compassionate environment. Responsibilities:
TheCertified Occupational Therapy Assistantcoordinates closely with the evaluating Occupational Therapist while providing skilled treatment to patients in order to facilitate increased independence with ADL/IADL’s and to ensure the highest level of function is attained during their therapy stay.
Provides occupational therapy services to residents in accordance with established standards of practice, company procedures, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards
Coordinates with licensed Occupational Therapist to ensure goals within plan of care reflect the individual patient’s needs and personal goals to reach highest practical level and to facilitate safety within the environment
Implements the patient’s care plan to address all short/long-term goals under the evaluating therapist’s supervision
Completes required daily treatment notes, progress notes, and discharges in a timely manner to justify skilled necessity and to ensure the best quality of care per Medicare guidelines
Qualifications
Associate’s degree as Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
Pass the National Certification NBCOT COTA exam
Current, active licensure in the state of OK as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Uphold state required CEU’s in order to maintain good standing with the board
Valid driver’s license and an automobile in good working condition with appropriate insurance coverage in accordance with state laws
