Job summary

Adelphi Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time role. The position focuses on direct patient care, developing rehab plans, and collaborating with the care team to support residents’ functional goals.

Candidates should have a Maryland COTA license, prior long-term care experience preferred, and a commitment to high-quality, compassionate care. The facility offers competitive wages, PTO, and benefits.

• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to assess medical condition, functional abilities, limitations, and rehab potential.
• Administer a treatment program with goals based on patient capacity and tolerance under physician direction.
• Document and educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• Document and record the patients' condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
