Job summary

Collage Home and Community Rehabilitation Partners is seeking experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants to provide truly patient-centered in-home neurological rehabilitation across Charleston, SC and surrounding areas on a PRN basis. Our interdisciplinary teams tailor integrated treatment plans delivered in patients' homes and communities.

Candidates should hold an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy and an active COTA license, with at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in OT and an active COTA license.
• Minimum of two years related experience, preferably in rehab or long-term care.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Occupational Therapists in evaluating client's level of functionality and need for therapy.
• Implementation of therapy programs developed by the OT to meet rehabilitation goals.
• Provide treatment techniques including ADLs, perceptual-motor activities, adaptive equipment, and data collection.
• Record data accurately on therapy programs and progress.

We are looking for experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants who want to provide truly patient-centered care in the Charleston, SC, and surrounding areas - with PRN positions available. Our interdisciplinary teams create integrated treatment plans that are practiced in patients' homes and communities. Our therapists are creative in their approach and incorporate a variety of activities to ignite interest while addressing functional goals. This evidence-based approach results in durable outcomes.

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

• Assisting Occupational Therapists in evaluating client's level of functionality and need for therapy
• Implementation of therapy programs developed by the Occupational Therapist, to meet assigned client’s rehabilitation goals and objectives
• Provide treatment techniques which include, but are not limited to, activities of daily living, perceptual-motor activities, guidance and use of adaptive equipment, exercises to enhance functional performance, prevocational evaluation and treatment, and use of assistive technology; collecting and accurately recording data on therapy programs

Qualifications:

• An Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy and active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License in applicable state(s); along with a minimum of two (2) years related work experience, preferably in a rehabilitation, or long-term care setting, is required
• A valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained.
• Competence in writing, planning, organization and documentation, as well as time management skills are required
• The ability to communicate with families, professionals and co-workers is a must.
• The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills is essential
