Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing evaluation of patient’s functional status.
• Teach and/or retrain patient’s skills in daily activities.
• Provide instruction to patient’s family/caregiver on treatment regimen.
• Follow treatment program and goals for improved patient function as advised by the Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain appropriate clinical records and submit documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant education program accredited by ACOTE.
• NBCOT certified with current licensure to practice in the state of operation.
• 1+ year COTA experience.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
