Job summary

Mission Valley Post Acute in Fremont, CA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a PRN role. You will assist the Occupational Therapists by implementing individualized ADL-based treatments and documenting patient responses.

This position emphasizes teamwork with an in-house therapy staff, adherence to physician orders, and educating residents and families on safe exercises and adaptive techniques. California COTA license active is required.

Qualifications

• Current and active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans focused on activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide direct occupational therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates or changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Accurately document treatments, responses, and progress notes; educate residents and families on therapeutic exercises and safety strategies.
