Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across both inpatient and outpatient settings in compliance with Manatee Health policies, standards and philosophy, The Joint Commission standards, and the AOTA Code of Ethics This role involves supporting adult and pediatric patients who experience a loss of and/or deficiency in functional independence related to chronic, traumatic or developmental illness, impairment and/or disability in achieving their functional goals through therapeutic activities, education, and specialized care techniques. Interventions are developed with the patient and their family and/or caregivers as partners in the rehabilitation process.

Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
