Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for immediate full time, part time, or per diem openings to provide visits through the Scotland County Visits office, covering Scotland, Richmond, and Moore counties.

You will join a multi-disciplinary team delivering rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients at home. The position requires NC licensure, willingness to travel, and OTA program accreditation.

Qualifications

• Licensed OTA in North Carolina to practice home health.
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
• Graduate from AMA/AOTA-accredited OTA program or equivalent qualification.
• Two years OTA experience with a proficiency exam if initial qualification occurred before 1977.
• At least one year of work experience under the supervision of a qualified OT.

Responsibilities

• Provide home health OT visits in Scotland, Richmond, and Moore counties.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary health care team to deliver rehabilitative care and skilled nursing at clients' homes.
• Support clients to remain at home with high-quality care.

Job description

BAYADA Home Health Care has an immediate full time, part time, or per diem opening for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide visits for our Scotland County Visits office covering Scotland, Richmond, and Moore counties. As a home health care Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Each Occupational Therapist Assistant must:

• Be licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant by the state of North Carolina
• Must be willing to travel in assigned territory.
• Have graduated from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma; or
• Have two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977
• Have at least one year’s work experience under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
