NPORT Staffing is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide rehabilitative care in home settings across Orange County, NY. Working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will support patients in improving mobility, independence, and quality of life.

This role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, strong documentation, and teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state.
• Experience in a CHHA or similar post-acute/rehab setting preferred.
• Strong clinical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.

Job Summary.

Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the successful candidate will support patients in improving functional abilities, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

• Assist patients with therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength, and daily living skills
• Document patient progress and report significant changes to supervisory staff
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team meetings
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and agency standards
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding therapeutic activities and home programs

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state
• Experience in a CHHA or similar post-acute/rehab setting preferred
• Strong clinical documentation skills
