Job summary

Macomb Post Acute Care Center in Macomb, IL is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in a skilled nursing and post-acute setting.

You will provide OT treatments under supervision, assist residents with ADLs and mobility, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to maximize independence and safety. New graduates welcome; comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois COTA license required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with SNF or rehabilitation setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments under supervision of a licensed OT.
  • Assist residents with ADLs, upper extremity strengthening, balance and mobility.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans to maximize independence and safety.
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT.
  • Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and care team.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Full-Time

Macomb, IL

$30–$32/hour

Macomb Post Acute Care Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity to help residents regain independence and improve their quality of life while working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team in a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity strengthening, coordination, balance, and functional mobility
  • Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to maximize independence and safety
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
