Job summary

Ultimate Therapy is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Laurel, MD rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake at Patuxent River. This full-time role offers competitive hourly pay and a supportive, patient-centered environment.

You will provide supervised OT treatments, assist with ADLs and mobility, document progress, and collaborate with PTs, SLPs, and nursing staff to maximize resident independence and safety.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland COTA license required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, coordination, balance, and functional mobility
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed to maximize independence and safety
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment, therapeutic techniques, and home safety
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Work closely with PTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
