Job Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment, adhering to professional standards and ethical practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Current, valid state OTA licensure or certification
• Current valid CPR certification (preferred)
• Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
• 0-1 years of experience

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises and ADL training.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve independence.
• Document patient responses, progress, and report findings to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and strategies for continued progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Support therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
