Job summary

Continuum Rehab Group in Cameron, MO is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team serving Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care facilities. You will provide skilled OT services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, focusing on evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment under OT supervision.
• Delivers skilled therapy services to patients in need of rehabilitation.
• Assesses and documents patient progress; communicates with supervising OT.
• Provides counseling to patients and families regarding physical disorders.
• Contributes to discharge planning and service summaries as required.

Experience/Qualifications:

Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant

This position is open to therapists at all experience levels.

Some duties for this position include:

• Utilizes evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist.
• Provides skilled therapy services to patients who need rehabilitation services.
• Assesses and document patient’s progress and communicates with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
• Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to physical disorders.
• Provides input to supervisor for discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements.
