Position Overview

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) , youll assist licensed Occupational Therapists in evaluating and providing treatments to patients recovering from injury, illness, surgery, or other conditions. Your role will be pivotal in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. Youll work in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) , providing hands-on care that truly makes a difference.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in promoting independence in daily activities such as dressing, feeding, and grooming.
• Screen, assess, evaluate, and treat patients following established protocols.
• Implement and follow care plans under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic interventions in accordance with American Occupational Therapy Association standards.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed.

Qualifications :

• Required : New York State Occupational Therapy Assistant License .
• Strong knowledge of anatomy , physiology , and medical terminology .
• Previous experience in acute care , occupational health , or geriatrics is highly preferred.
• Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute care settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with pediatric patients and medical imaging is a bonus.
