Qualifications

Job description

Wage Range: $31.16 - $49.85 per hour
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary: The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in the home setting provides treatment programs aimed at restoring patients to their optimal functional level, in coordination with the team. Supervision by a registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) occurs every 30 days.

Primary Duties:

  1. Implement treatment plans established by an OTR and report changes in patient condition or needs.
  2. Provide occupational therapy interventions based on individualized treatment plans and priorities, initiating procedural or technique changes as needed.
  3. Design, fabricate, select, and fit prosthetic, orthotic, and self-help devices as prescribed by the OTR.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience: REQUIRED:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant in Washington State
  • Current Washington State Driver’s license and proof of insurability
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by the date of hire
  • Reliable transportation

DESIRED:

  • At least 2 years of experience in acute care or rehabilitation centers
  • Membership in a professional organization
  • Certification in a specialty area
