Job description

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant performs components of occupational therapy procedures and related tasks under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and in accordance with practices of occupational therapy. Patient population ranges in age from 18 years to geriatric experiencing medically complex conditions and/or medical surgical conditions requiring rehabilitation and/or wound care needs. Assist patients with his/her maximum functional performance while learning to live within his/her capabilities. Records the patients responses to treatment and reports the outcome of each treatment to the Occupational Therapist.Under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act, (The Unity Bill) this position is considered a Safety-sensitive position. Safety-sensitive is defined to include any job that includes tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others.
