Job summary

Boothby Therapy Services is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support Merrimack students in a school-based setting. You will help children strengthen essential skills to participate confidently during the school day.

You will work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, collaborate with teachers and families, and engage in ongoing professional development. A NH OTA license or eligibility is required for the role and Salary: $32–$40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current New Hampshire OTA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to connect with students and adapt to individual learning needs.
• Genuine passion for helping children participate, grow, and thrive.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions based on established plans of care.
• Help students strengthen fine-motor, visual-motor, sensory-processing, self-regulation, and daily living skills.
• Integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines and school activities.
• Adapt activities to meet each student’s individual needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary school teams.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
