Job summary

Unity Health and Rehabilitation, a skilled nursing facility in Miami, is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their team on a full time basis. This role involves carrying out treatments, monitoring patient reactions, and assisting in lifting patients.

Applicants must have an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy and preferably experience in a nursing home. A $3000.00 sign-on bonus is offered for this position.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Completion of an Occupational Therapist Assistant course approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Experience in a nursing home preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out treatments under the direction of the occupational therapist.
• Detecting signs and symptoms of reactions and reporting immediately.
• Being CPR certified.

Unity Health and Rehabilitation, a 250 bed Skilled Nursing facility located in Miami, FL, is seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team on a full time basis.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy
• Completion of an Occupational Therapist Assistant course approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Experience in a nursing home preferred, but not required
• Bilingual (preferred)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Carrying out treatments under the direction of the occupational therapist
• Detecting signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions and reporting them immediately to the occupational therapist
• Being a professional and ethical team player
• Being CPR certified
• Possessing basic knowledge of all modalities
• Understanding how a goniometer and dynamometer operate
• Assisting in the lifting, pulling and/or pushing of patients
• Being compassionate, caring and committed to helping patients achieve their maximum physical potential
