Job summary

HealthPRO Heritage is seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in a caring, skilled nursing setting. You will work under an Occupational Therapist to deliver individualized therapy, support daily living activities, and help residents maintain independence.

This role offers competitive pay starting at $32 per hour, full-time and part-time options, and a comprehensive benefits package after the first full month of employment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• NBCOT Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Experience in an occupational therapy setting preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Treatment Implementation: Deliver individualized therapy based on treatment plans developed by the OT, including activities to improve daily living skills.
• Progress Monitoring & Documentation: Track patient progress and maintain records in line with facility policies.
• Collaboration & Patient Education: Work with interdisciplinary teams and educate patients and families on exercises, equipment, and independence strategies.
• Therapeutic Activities & Support: Lead or assist patients with exercises and daily living activities in a positive environment.

• Therapeutic Activities & Support: Lead or assist patients with exercises, activities of daily living, and other therapeutic tasks, while creating a positive and supportive environment to encourage patient engagement.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited school.
• Certification: Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Licensure: Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Experience: Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting (hospital, clinic, school, etc.) is preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
