Job summary

Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Madison is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for an inpatient rehabilitation facility in Madison, MS. This PRN position emphasizes compassionate care and adherence to regulatory standards while supporting the patient’s recovery journey.

The role requires an OTA credential, state license, and CPR certification, with responsibilities including patient progress communication, scheduling, documentation, and maintaining a safe, clean work

Qualifications

• Certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degree.
• Current and valid state OTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned
