Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Madison is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our inpatient rehabilitation team in Madison, Mississippi. This PRN role supports high-quality patient care and collaborative teamwork in a new 40-bed facility within Lifepoint Health.

As part of our team, you will assist with patient care planning, documentation, and coordination, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. AOTA certification and current CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold AOTA certification for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Current CPR certification required.
• State OTA license or equivalent in the states where services are rendered.

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with Company Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards and applicable laws
• Other duties as assigned

How You'll Contribute

What We're Looking For

• Candidates must have certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)


• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degree


• Current and valid state OTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the states where services are rendered


• Current CPR certification


• Strong organizational and communication skills
