Job Description

This is a PRN as-needed position. Under the supervision of an occupational therapist, the COTA administers therapeutic procedures to patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments, as prescribed by a referring practitioner. Responsibilities include providing care aligned with the goals established by the occupational therapist, re-assessing patient progress at regular intervals, and documenting findings appropriately.

Additional Job Requirements
  • Education: Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • Licenses/Certifications: Licensed by South Carolina as an Occupational Therapy Assistant; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
