Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation seeks to hire a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for our Inpatient Rehabilitation hospital who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.


As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will:

  • Assist in providing rehabilitation services for patients suffering from physical, mental, or developmental problems, whether congenital or accidental.
  • Monitor patients’ health issues and requirements, ensuring they receive necessary support.
  • Help patients work through rehabilitative exercises and treatments as suggested by occupational therapists.
  • Assist with feeding, dressing, and maintaining hygiene for patients.
  • Maintain and order equipment used in treatment and provide regular progress reports to doctors.
  • Document patient progress and make necessary changes in treatment as suggested by the doctor.

Qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited COTA program required.
  • Site-specific experience preferred (minimum of 1 site-specific clinical affiliation required).
  • Licensed in the State of Maryland.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Work Schedule:

  • Per Diem requirements: 2 weekend days/month plus 2 holidays/year (one of which is a winter holiday).
  • Hospital Orientation requirement of 3 full weekdays (M-W) followed by department orientation the remainder of the week.

Pay Range: $30.53 - $44.27

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
