Job summary

Lions Gate CCRC in Voorhees, NJ is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support rehabilitative services for individuals with impairments. The role operates in the Rehab department on a PRN basis, with hourly pay and weekend work as needed.

You will collaborate with Occupational Therapists to implement plans, monitor progress, and educate patients and families in home programs and adaptive skills. A state license as an OTA is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited therapy program.
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience.
• Ability to utilize electronic medical record.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current Occupational Therapy Assistant state license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, or administer rehab programs under OT direction.
• Monitor patients' performance and provide encouragement.
• Instruct patients and families in home programs and basic living skills.
• Observe and record patients' progress in client records.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans.
• Report progress to supervisors on patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior.
• Perform clerical duties.
• Comply with professional, ethical and legal standards.
• Some weekend work may be required.

Job Summary

Assists in providing rehabilitative services to persons with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments.

Job Duties

• Works under the direction of occupational therapists to plan, implement, or administer programs that restore or enhance performance in individuals with functional impairments.
• Monitors patients' performance in therapy activities and provides encouragement.
• Assists in instructing patients and families in home programs, basic living skills, or the care and use of adaptive equipment.
• Observes and records patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior and maintains this information in client records.
• Assists occupational therapists with implementing treatment plans.
• Reports to supervisors on patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior.
• Performs clerical duties.
• Complies with professional, ethical and legal standards.
• The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
• Some weekend work required based on census.
