We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and forward-thinking Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to work closely with, and under the supervision of, an Occupational Therapist. This role involves treating patients on a per diem basis, picking up cases throughout a designated region in Suffolk County. The COTA will assist with occupational therapy treatments and procedures, and may help develop treatment plans, perform routine functions, and document treatment progress, in accordance with state laws.

Pay: $45-$50/hr
What You'll be Doing:
  • Evaluating patients' needs for occupational therapy and developing appropriate treatment plans.
  • Providing care and treatment based on physician care plans, agency policies, and professional standards.
  • Instructing family members, Home Health Aides, and caregivers in occupational therapy techniques.
  • Traveling to patients' homes within your designated territory.
  • Maintaining strong communication with patients, support staff, and management via text, email, phone, etc.

Requirements:
