We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and forward-thinking Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to work closely with, and under the supervision of, an Occupational Therapist. This is a per diem position, involving case coverage throughout a designated region in Nassau County. The COTA will assist with occupational therapy treatments, develop treatment plans in accordance with state laws, perform routine functions, and document patient progress.

Pay: $45-$50/hr
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' occupational therapy needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide care and treatment based on physician care plans, agency policies, and professional standards.
  • Instruct family members, Home Health Aides, and caregivers in occupational therapy techniques.
  • Travel to patients’ homes within your designated territory.
  • Maintain strong communication with patients, support staff, and management via various channels.
