Status: Part-Time (Part time Minimum Expectation of 5 visits or 10 hours per week)
Visit rate: $50 per visit

As a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

  • Perform under the direction and supervision of the treating occupational therapist and in accordance with the plan of care.
  • Assist the treating occupational therapist in documenting a patient's progress and response to treatment.
  • Teach task-oriented therapeutic activities designed to restore physical and sensory-integrative function.
  • Communicate with the supervising occupational therapist, as well as other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team providing care to the patient in order to promote coordination of care.
  • Visually and aurally observe and assess the patient.
  • Participate in quality and performance improvement measures.

A few must-haves for Home Health Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA):

  • Current licensure as aCertified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA)in the state of Colorado.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of certified occupational therapy assistant experience, ideally in home healthcare.
  • CPR Certification (demonstration course required).
  • Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations.
  • Good clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, resourceful and compassionate.
