Kindred Hospital Bay Area - St. Petersburg is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join Lifepoint Rehabilitation.

This full-time role supports patient care under the supervision of an occupational therapist, contributing to high-quality rehabilitation services in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate holds AOTA certification, an OTA associate degree, a Florida OTA license, and CPR; strong organization and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Must have AOTA certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited OTA program with an Associate's degree.
  • Current Florida OTA license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team.
  • Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in follow-through programs and home exercises.
  • Assist with patient scheduling and post treatment charges to patient records daily.
  • Document patient care accurately and in accordance with all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
  • Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute

What We're Looking For
  • Candidates must have certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degree
  • Current and valid state OTA license in the state of Florida
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
