Job summary

Capitol Academy & Capitol Elementary (Non-Public Schools) in Sacramento, CA, seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a collaborative, student-centered team. As a COTA, you will implement individualized treatment plans under supervision to help students build fine motor, sensory, self-help, and functional skills.

You will partner with educators and document progress, while preparing therapy materials and supporting a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current California Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
• Experience working with children or in a school-based setting preferred.
• Experience supporting students with autism and other developmental differences - preferred.

About the Role

Capitol Academy and Capitol Elementary are respected Non-Public Schools (NPS) serving students with diverse learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our collaborative, student-centered team. As a School-Based Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will help students develop the skills they need to participate successfully in school and everyday activities. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans.You will help students build fine motor, sensory, self-help, and functional skills while collaborating with educators and documenting student progress.

We partner with local districts to provide individualized academic, behavioral, and socialemotional support in small class settings where teachers truly make an impact.
