Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) needed in Rocklin, CA:

• 36-week school-year contract.
• Start Date: August 4, 2026.
• Part-time position, 16 hours per week.
• School-site based with travel between locations as needed.
• Caseload may include students ranging from preschool through age 22.
• Collaborate with both special education and general education staff.

Qualifications:

• Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license.
• School-based experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with students of various ages and abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Reliable transportation for travel between school sites as needed.

Pay: Up to $48.00 per hour

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA) Duties:

• Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
• Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
• Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
• Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
