Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Wichita in Pratt, KS is seeking a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA). You’ll deliver individualized occupational therapy at patients’ homes and coordinate care with a home health team, while enjoying flexible scheduling and work-life balance.

As part of our team, you’ll apply patient-focused strategies, document progress, and help patients regain daily activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and active COTA certification in KS.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to illness or injury.
• Work as part of a home health team including RN, LPN, CNA, HHA, PT and SLP.
• Assess patient, observe deficits, establish therapy goals and document progress.
• Assist patient with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination.
• Suggest adaptive equipment to improve safety and independence.
• Assess fall risks and implement home safety strategies.
• Educate patient and family on plan of care, exercises, goals and self-care.

As a Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to an illness or injury
• Work as part of a home health team which may include an RN, LPN, CNA, HHA, PT and SLP, focused on the patient’s plan of care and personal goals
