Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Location: West Chester, OH 45069
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Based on education and experience

Your Role as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA):

  • Implement individualized IEP goals and objectives to support fine motor skills, perceptual motor skills, self-care, sensory integration, play activities, and neuromuscular function.
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions that address student needs and encourage progress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, related service professionals, school district personnel, outside service providers, and families to design and deliver appropriate services.
  • Apply behavior management strategies, demonstrating knowledge of student privileges and responsibilities.
  • Complete and submit quarterly Progress Reports, providing updates to parents/guardians and school districts.
  • Manage occupational therapy supplies and equipment, ordering additional supplies or sensory devices as needed/requested.
  • Travel to multiple school locations as necessary, maintaining daily billing logs aligned with IEP service guidelines

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with child, parent/guardian, multidisciplinary team members, and other personnel involved in child’s educational/behavioral program.
  • Must have knowledge of child development and common behavioral disorders exhibited by children and adolescents.
  • Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must display a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must hold valid Occupational Therapy Assistant professional license
