Job summary

Southwest Montana Veteran's Home in Butte, MT is seeking a qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house team. This role focuses on evaluating residents, creating OT rehab plans, and helping patients improve mobility, while maintaining confidentiality and safety in a long-term care setting.

We offer a $7,500 sign-on bonus, daily pay options, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off, along with free CEU

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year experience working as a COTA.
• Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus!
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a Resident’s condition and develop an appropriate OT rehabilitation plan.
• Help Residents to improve their mobility.
• Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Inform Residents what they should anticipate in different stages of their recovery and how they will handle each situation.
• Maintain Resident confidence and protect facility operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by protecting Residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contribute to inter-disciplinary team efforts in resident care.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements
