Job summary

Nexus Health in Belleville, IL is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support residents under supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The COTA will implement treatment plans to promote independence and safety.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Position Overview:

Works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services that help residents improve or maintain their ability to perform daily living activities. The COTA implements individualized treatment plans to promote independence, safety, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and administer treatment programs for residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders and the established plan of care, under the supervision of the supervising Occupational Therapist.

  • Educate residents, families, and staff regarding therapy goals, techniques, and outcomes.

  • Demonstrate competent technical skills consistent with current COTA standards of practice.
