Job Title: Occupational Therapist Assistant

Department: Operations

Reports To: Rehab Director, EDO

Summary: Under supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provides treatment to help patients regain physical abilities, increase functional skills, and independence, following established treatment plans.

Qualifications: Associate's degree in occupational therapy assistant from an accredited college, current state license/registration as a COTA.

Essential Duties:

• Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans.
• Perform daily therapy assignments and care for patients.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and apply therapeutic modalities.
• Assist with ADL skills retraining and perform therapeutic activities.
• Monitor and record patient progress, communicate with the occupational therapist, and refer patients for re-evaluation as needed.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment, ensure safety, and participate in team meetings.
• Support infection control practices and adhere to ethical standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
