Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to assist with the therapy plan of care under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.

The role involves coordinating with the supervising OT and directing support staff to optimize patient care. The qualified candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in an OT Assistant program, current state licensure or eligibility, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in an OT Assistant program (required).
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) (required).
• CPR certification (required).

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed OT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Delegate and direct supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance patient care services.
• Communicate with supervising OT to identify need for assessment, reassessment, and modifications to treatment plans.
• Participate in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Perform other professional duties within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities
