Job summary

Ultimate Therapy in Scotch Plains, NJ is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time role to join our rehabilitation team. You will provide occupational therapy under the supervision of a licensed OT, assist residents with daily living activities, contribute to treatment plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes.

Collaboration with PTs, SLPs, nursing staff and the care team is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active New Jersey COTA license.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation helpful but not required.
• New graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT treatments under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Assist residents with ADLs, upper extremity strengthening, balance, coordination, and functional mobility.
• Implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor resident progress and report updates to the supervising OT.
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment, safety techniques, and therapeutic exercises.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Ultimate Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a clinician who enjoys helping residents maximize independence and improve daily function in a collaborative skilled nursing and post-acute care setting.

What You'll Do

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity strengthening, balance, coordination, and functional mobility
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed to meet each resident's goals
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment, safety techniques, and therapeutic exercises
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
