Job summary

The Californian-Pasadena, an 82-bed skilled nursing facility, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our caring team. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and Rehabilitation Director to deliver rehabilitation services to residents.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and ensuring compliance with standards and policies while providing education and support to residents and families.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant required.
• Preferably 1–2 years of experience in long-term care.
• Good physical and mental health is essential.
• Capable of meeting physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Training, knowledge, and experience for duties under supervision.

REPORTING:

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant reports to the supervising Occupational Therapist and Rehabilitation Director.

JOB DUTIES:

• Understanding of physical medicine, therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology.
• Familiarity with operating physical therapy equipment, maintenance, and repairs.
• Administering treatment and rehabilitation services to patients with injuries or disabilities.
• Following treatment plans directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Monitoring and documenting patient treatment and progress.
• Assisting in developing educational plans based on learning needs.
• Ensuring documentation meets current standards and policies.
• Adhering to facility's policies and procedures.
