  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
  • Skilled nursing or post-acute care experience preferred, but not required.
  • New graduates with an active California license are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist
  • Provide therapeutic interventions addressing activities of daily living (ADLs), strengthening, range of motion, balance, coordination, functional mobility, cognition, and safety
  • Assist residents with improving independence in dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and other daily activities
  • Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate changes in condition or functional status to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Provide resident, family, and caregiver education as appropriate
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility, state, federal, and professional requirements
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and professional standards

Job Summary
