Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a 126-bed skilled nursing facility in the Fairmont, CA area. This full-time permanent role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with 35 hours per week and no weekend shifts.

You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients improve daily living skills and function within a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Geriatric or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT treatment under supervision of a licensed OT.

Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy treatment under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

Assist patients with improving daily living skills, mobility, strength, coordination, and independence

Follow individualized treatment plans created by the Occupational Therapist

Document patient progress accurately and timely

Communicate patient updates with the supervising OT and care team

Support patients with safe and effective therapeutic activities

Follow facility, state, and federal guidelines

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Skilled nursing, rehab, long-term care, or geriatric experience preferred

Strong communication and documentation skills

Compassionate, reliable, and patient‑focused

Ability to work well with an interdisciplinary care team

License and Certification Requirements

Active California Occupational Therapy Assistant license required

NBCOT COTA certification preferred

CPR/BLS certification required

Must be able to work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

Compensation and Schedule

$44–$49 per hour

35 hours per week

Monday–Friday
