Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL seeks a Certified OB Surgical Tech (PRN) to support OB/OR scrub activities, maintain instruments and supplies, and assist the MD during deliveries. The role covers Labor & Delivery and OB Surgery areas with varied shifts.

Required are a Surgical Technologist program completion, certification, and BLS. Prior OB tech experience is preferred and applies to a high-quality hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of a surgical technologist program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub/assist duties in OB/OR.
• Maintain stock and supplies in Labor and Delivery areas.
• Set up sterile LDR tables for virginal deliveries.
• Return instruments to Central Sterile in a timely fashion.
• Support MD during vaginal deliveries and retractions as needed.
• Demonstrate service excellence at all times.
