We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant with the Wound Clinic in Stanley WI to join our team!

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. The CNA works within the Professional Practice Model of Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience and completion of a nursing assistant course.
  • One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting beneficial or previous work experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home beneficial.
  • Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry required with current registry recommended.
  • For Float, Palliative Care Unit (PCU), Home Health, and Hospice - Current CNA registry required.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing.
  • Annual accrual of CEUs/continuing education requirements per Education Council recommendation for the given year.
  • Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.

Hours: Full Time; 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Day Shift.
