Job summary

Asante in Oregon is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our patient care team. Working under the supervision of the RN, you will perform duties in line with department policies and contribute to the nursing process.

We are seeking a CNA to join a top healthcare system at Asante, where CNAs are valued daily by our team of healthcare professionals. This role is 0.6 FTE with a part-time variable night schedule.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with OSBN is required.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association is required.

• Join the patient care team and collaborate with CNAs and RNs.
• Promote patient safety and comfort while supporting patient satisfaction.
• Apply advanced responsive observations in care practice.
• Document patient and family responses and effectiveness of teaching and interventions.

Salary Range: $19.86 - $27.30

Shift Differentials

• $1.21/hr. for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• $2.05/hr. for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
• $1.05/hr. extra for working weekends

Position Summary

A Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible and accountable for their practice for assigned patient(s), contributing to the utilization of the nursing process, under the supervision and direction of the RN, and performs all duties in accordance with department policies and procedures and scope of practice. What You’ll Do

• Become a vital member of the patient care team and build a strong relationship with the CNAs and RNs.
• Promote patient safety and comfort while actively participating in patient satisfaction.
• Demonstrate advanced Responsive Observations knowledge base in practice of care.
• Document patient and family responses and effectiveness of teaching and interventions per department standards.
• Provide excellent communication between staff and patients and patient families.
• Promote and maintain Asante’s Vision and Values.

Position Qualifications

Certifications/Licensure

• CNA certified by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) is required upon start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

• This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis – such as transferring a patient in and out of a bed. The ability to bend, stretch, twist, and perform other awkward physical movements is also required.
